The medication got you here. We'll help you come back.

Most prescriptions are far easier to start than to stop. TaperX is the app built to guide you off your medication — a personalized taper plan, evidence-based answers, the wisdom of people who've been there, and a coach when you need one.

The Problem

Coming off a prescription is harder than getting on one.

Most long-term medications cause your body to adapt. Stopping suddenly is unsafe — sometimes dangerous. But a proper taper takes months of careful, personalized dose adjustments that a typical doctor's office isn't set up to manage.

So patients get told to "cut your pill in half," sent to rehab, or left to figure it out alone. We think there's a kinder, safer way.

Know what's happening in your body — and what to do about it.

Withdrawal can show up in more than 100 different symptoms, and they shift week to week. TaperX lets you log how you're feeling in seconds, see the patterns over time, and get evidence-based suggestions for easing the symptoms that hit hardest.

  • Track 100+ symptoms — from sleep, anxiety, and brain fog to the physical ones — with a quick daily check-in.
  • See the trends — spot when a symptom is climbing so you can slow your taper before it overwhelms you.
  • Get ways to minimize them — research-backed and community-tested tips matched to the symptoms you're actually logging.
100+ withdrawal symptoms tracked, so nothing you feel goes unexplained.

Available now — before the app

You don't have to wait. Talk to a coach today.

Tapering can feel confusing and lonely, and the app is still on its way. So we've opened up one-on-one coaching you can book right now. In a private session, a TaperX coach will help you map a tapering plan grounded in the latest evidence, walk you through your options, keep an eye on how you're progressing, and help you make the case to your prescriber for the support you need.

Please note: coaching is a separate, human-led service available today. The TaperX app is still in development and won't be ready when you book — a session connects you with a coach directly, not the app.

Meet TaperX

A guide for a journey no one prepared you for.

When our founder tried to come off Klonopin that he'd been prescribed for 10 years, no program existed. No protocol. No support. Just doctors who didn't know how to help and rehab centers built for the wrong problem.

TaperX is what he wished had existed — a program built by patients, for patients, backed by clinical evidence, guided by AI, and grounded in one simple belief: every prescription should have an off-ramp.

Common questions

What you might be wondering.

When does TaperX launch?
We're aiming for a late 2026 launch. Waitlist members get first access, a say in what we build, and a founding-member discount.
Does TaperX replace my doctor, pharmacist, or taper clinic?
Not at all — TaperX is a companion app designed to work alongside the people already helping you. It organizes your plan, gathers trusted research and community wisdom in one place, and helps you have better-informed conversations with your prescriber, pharmacist, or taper specialist. We deeply respect the clinicians and programs doing this work, and we see TaperX as a support tool for patients, not a replacement for care.
Is this addiction treatment?
No. Most people tapering took their medication exactly as prescribed — they didn't misuse it, and they aren't addicted. They're physically dependent, which is a normal, expected response to long-term use of certain medications. TaperX is built for exactly this situation.
How much will the app cost?
We're still figuring that out — and that's exactly why we're asking. The short survey on the waitlist helps us land on pricing that's fair and sustainable. Waitlist members will get a founding-member discount when we launch.
Will the app coordinate with my own doctor?
That's the idea. TaperX is designed to help you bring a clear, evidence-based plan to your existing prescriber so you can taper together. You're always in control of what you share and with whom.
Is the information safe to rely on?
Our research answers and summaries are grounded in published clinical evidence and established tapering guidance, with sources cited. That said, TaperX is an educational and planning tool — always confirm any change to your medication with a qualified healthcare provider.
Can I talk to a coach before the app launches?
Yes — coaching is available right now. You can book a one-on-one session today to build or review your tapering plan, even though the app itself is still in development and won't be ready when you book. A first consultation is $149 (60 min), with shorter follow-ups at $95 (30 min) and $50 (15 min) once you have a plan underway.
Could TaperX prescribe my medication too?
It's one of the things we're exploring — pairing the app with a doctor who can prescribe and a compounding pharmacy that delivers your taper doses to your door. We've put that question in the waitlist survey because we want to build it only if it's genuinely useful to you.
